The Problem You Already Know
Representing parents in CPS and family court cases is one of the most emotionally draining and time-intensive areas of law. Your clients are overwhelmed. Their documentation is scattered. And the agency has unlimited resources, full-time attorneys, and institutional advantage.
You’re trying to reconstruct months or years of CPS interactions from scattered texts, half-remembered conversations, and emotion-driven narratives. Meanwhile, the agency walks in with a thick file and a caseworker who has been trained to testify.
FAN changes that equation. When your client uses our platform, they’ve already done the work — and all of it is waiting for you in a secure, organized portal.
Everything You Need, Already Done
When your client invites you to their case, you get instant access to a complete, organized case file — no intake forms, no onboarding, no setup.
Complete Case File at a Glance
Every intake answer, document, timeline event, participant, and communication log — organized and searchable in one place. No more digging through emails or scattered files.
Court-Ready PDF Export
Generate professional, branded case summaries with one click. Timelines, concerns, accountability flags, and evidence — formatted and ready for filing or hearing preparation.
Smart Case Analysis
Ask questions about the case and get instant, context-aware answers. Identify patterns, surface inconsistencies, and prepare arguments with a system that has already read the entire case file.
Accountability Flags
Our system automatically identifies CPS procedural violations, constitutional concerns, and bias indicators — turning what parents feel into documented, provable patterns.
Communication Tracking
Every CPS interaction your client logs — calls, visits, meetings — is timestamped, categorized, and ready for your review. Build a verifiable record of agency behavior over time.
Timeline Reconstruction
Visualize the entire case chronologically. See how events, removals, hearings, and CPS actions connect — making it easier to identify gaps, delays, and bad-faith timelines.
Participant Profiles
Track every person involved in the case — caseworkers, supervisors, GALs, judges — with their roles, CVI profiles, and behavioral patterns documented by your client.
Secure Attorney Portal
Your access is invitation-only and encrypted. You see everything your client has documented — without them needing to forward, print, or summarize anything.
Hours Saved Per Case
Every hour you save on administration is an hour you can spend advocating. Here’s what changes when your client uses FAN.
Your Client Isn’t “Difficult” — They’re Misunderstood
The Core Values Index (CVI) is a psychometric assessment with 97.7% repeat reliability — the highest of any human assessment tool. Every parent who uses FAN completes the CVI. Here’s why it matters for your case.
Why CVI Changes How You Advocate
Family courts and CPS caseworkers routinely misjudge parents based on surface-level behavior. A parent who asks too many questions is labeled “uncooperative.” A parent who gets emotional is labeled “unstable.” A parent who stays calm is labeled “detached.”
The CVI reveals what’s actually driving your client’s behavior — their core motivational wiring. With 97.7% repeat reliability (validated by Seattle Research Partners, n=711 over 11 years) and over 1.3 million assessments completed worldwide, the CVI is already used by U.S. military branches, law enforcement agencies, and government organizations. When you understand your client’s CVI profile, you can reframe the narrative: from “problem parent” to “misunderstood human being doing exactly what their hardwiring tells them to do under stress.” That reframe changes outcomes.
Builder (Power)
Decisive, protective, action-oriented. Builder parents take charge and fight hard for their kids. They are natural advocates who refuse to be passive.
Perceived as aggressive, combative, uncooperative. CPS labels them ‘hostile’ or ‘unwilling to comply.’ Judges see defiance instead of devotion.
Frame their directness as parental protectiveness. Present their refusal to comply as informed advocacy, not defiance. Show the court that this parent’s strength is their child’s greatest asset.
Merchant (Love)
Deeply empathetic, relational, and nurturing. Merchant parents build emotional bonds and prioritize connection. They are the heart of a family.
Perceived as too emotional, unstable, or manipulative. CPS may interpret their emotional responses as evidence of instability or use their people-pleasing nature to coerce compliance.
Show the court that emotional expression is not instability — it’s attachment. Their willingness to cooperate doesn’t mean guilt. Document how CPS may have exploited their cooperative nature to extract harmful admissions.
Innovator (Wisdom)
Analytical, creative, and fair-minded. Innovator parents question everything and see solutions others miss. They are natural problem-solvers who value truth and fairness.
Perceived as argumentative, non-compliant, or ‘too smart for their own good.’ CPS may interpret their questioning as obstruction. Their desire for fairness is reframed as refusal to accept responsibility.
Position their questioning as educated engagement, not defiance. Show the court they are the type of parent who reads every document, asks the right questions, and holds the system accountable — exactly what a good parent does.
Banker (Knowledge)
Structured, consistent, and dependable. Banker parents provide stability, routine, and predictability — the foundation every child needs.
Perceived as cold, rigid, or emotionally detached. CPS may interpret their calm composure as ‘lack of concern.’ Their focus on process may be read as avoidance of the real issues.
Demonstrate that emotional restraint is strength, not apathy. Their structured approach to parenting is exactly what developmental research says children need. Present their documentation, consistency, and composure as evidence of a stable, capable parent.
When your client completes the CVI through FAN, their full profile — primary and secondary values, scores, and behavioral insights — is available in your attorney portal. Use it to inform your advocacy strategy and help mediators, GALs, and evaluators understand the person behind the case.
